Sights of Krka National Park
Krka National Park abounds in incredible beauty, the most important of which are the tuff waterfalls that leave visitors breathless. There are seven of them in total, and the most famous among them are Roški slap and Skradinski buk.
In addition, the river is surrounded by lush greenery, and there is also the beautiful Visovac Lake into which Roški slap flows, one of the many lakes that the Krka creates on its way. In the center of the lake is a small island on which a monastery is located, and all this gives a magical touch to this entire part of the park.
One of the interesting places is Oziđana pećina, a geological object on the banks of the Krka River in which ceramic remains were found, proving that this area was inhabited as early as the Neolithic era. In fact, the oldest findings date back to some 6000 BC!

What does the trip include?

Travel plan
- 10:30 – Departure
The Šibenik Taxi vehicle will pick you up at 10:30 am at the agreed location, followed by a comfortable and relatively short drive to the national park (Krka National Park is only about 15 kilometers away). With our experienced drivers, you are in the park in approximately 15 minutes. Your guide will meet you there, after which you enter the park.
- 11:30 – Ethno presentation
After a short tour of the park, there will be an ethnographic presentation about watermills, of which there are quite a few in the park. These mills date back to the 19th century and are considered ethnological-ethnographic monuments, and in them you will be able to see how the people of this region grinded grain, forged horseshoes, prepared food, weaved and generally lived. In short, you will get a unique insight into the way of life before the industrial age.
- 12:00 – Lunch
After the ethno presentation, there will be lunch in a restaurant where you can enjoy excellently prepared food typical of Dalmatian cuisine. Eat your fill because you will need the strength for what is to come.
- 1:00 PM – Free time for exploration
Once lunch is over, you'll have free time to explore the park. In the hot summer months, the best thing to do is swim under the waterfalls, which will surely be an experience you'll remember for a long time. Just make sure to swim in the marked areas - swimming is not allowed in other parts of the park.
Nature lovers can use this time to walk along the banks of the Krka and explore the forest that surrounds the river, but regardless of which activity you decide on, you can be sure that you will enjoy it.
- 15:30 – Oziđana Cave
The last activity in our program is a visit to Oziđana pećina, which we already mentioned in the first part of this text. It is a beautiful cave in which Neolithic artifacts have been found, and it is located right above Roški slap.
The beautifully decorated interior allows visitors to enjoy all 59 meters of its length, and entering the cave is an opportunity to escape the summer heat. Of course, and to enjoy the creative power of nature.
- 17:00 – Return
After all that, it's time to head back. As with arriving at the park, you'll be at your destination very quickly, and Šibenik Taxi will drop you off at the location of your choice. After a full day of enjoying nature, you'll have enough time to enjoy a beautiful Šibenik evening and perhaps have dinner in one of the restaurants to gather your impressions of this wonderful excursion.
