Visiting Šibenik is an experience that most will never forget. The city enchants with its stone buildings and fortresses, but the area around the city will intoxicate you with natural beauty.
We have already revealed some secrets about the beautiful town that guards the entrance to the magnificent river. Now is the time to introduce you to a place that, with its beauty, has earned inclusion on the list of National Parks of our beautiful country.
Are you hot?
Imagine yourself in a city of white stone as the sun burns mercilessly with its rays.
The heat can be unbearable in cities, so often the sea is not enough to refresh.
In most cities, people are doomed to escape into the sea because there is nothing fresher to cool them. The sea is our treasure, but when it is almost 40°C outside and the sea reaches over 20°C you cannot escape the heat.
Fortunately, the residents of Krešimir's town do not live in an ordinary town. Šibenik behind his back he hides a natural oasis in which many find salvation from the heat.
Jump into our taxi boat and tell the driver you'd give anything for refreshments. Our experienced drivers know that rivers are always colder than the sea, so you will be on your way to Skradin in no time.

How to get to NP Krka
Riding our boat alone is an unforgettable experience, but it is only the beginning. Boats are not allowed to enter the National Park so that life can flow there without interference. We will land you in Skradin, and this is where the second phase of your dream day begins. From our luxury boat you will transfer to a wooden excursion boat that will take you to the National Park. Enjoy the scents that will splash you, photograph Swans and other wild birds, and breathe fresh River Air. As long as you're on that ship, you'll want the ride to last forever.
Once you set foot on the Krka National Park, you will see that driving is just an introduction to what nature has prepared for you.
The mighty karst of the river in its course has shaped beautiful lakes and waterfalls. Of the 109 km2 that the NP covers, 25.6 km2 is covered with water. The limestone has been spent for years to have this magnificent 75 km long canyon today. Thanks to the balance that prevails in nature (when people do not disturb it) the river has created travertine waterfalls and lakes with its course. In the larger lakes bathing is allowed, and in our opinion recommended. You know that the water is pure because it comes from the womb of the Earth. Its temperature is also something that delights all those who are used to swimming in the sea. Krka National Park will become your favorite refuge from the heat, but don't just look at this unique place as a beach. It's 1985 for a reason. The Republic of Croatia declared KRK the Seventh National Park in our small country.
What makes this place special?
Many are surprised to learn that the second oldest hydropower plant in the world is located there, the title of the oldest hydropower plant in the world has only missed by 3 days. It is located below the 45.7 meter high waterfall Skradinski buk. Despite its impressive size, Skradinski buk is not the largest waterfall with which Krka enchants its visitors. That honor belongs to almost 60 meters tall Manojlovac.
Not everything in this park is so megalomaniacal, so a walk along the beautifully dotted wooden paths will take you to many small lakes and tributaries of the river. Plants will protect you from the sun with their leaves, and bird song will guide you through untouched nature. Remember that you are in a strictly protected area.
This means that you must restrain yourself when a beautiful plant arouses in you the desire to harvest it or a bird attracts you with its magnificent feathers. Not only can you be punished for disrupting life in the National Park, but you might be surprised by the defensive abilities of the creatures that live there. The swan may look like a lovable bird, but I know from experience, it can get very angry. You have to keep in mind that these are wild animals that don't want to be disturbed. Admire them from a decent distance to stay relaxed.

Krka National Park you can superficially explore in just an hour or two, but giving such a place just 2 hours would be a big mistake. Set aside one whole day to enjoy one of the most beautiful karst ecosystems in Europe. The restaurant within the park has an excellent offer so you will surely enjoy good food after hours of walking.
You do not have to worry about the transport back, because the same boat you arrived will take you back to Skradin where our taxi boat will wait for you. If you would rather return to Šibenik by land and we can make it possible for you, just call us and one of our cars will be waiting for you. The ride will be so comfortable that you will probably fall asleep and in your dreams return again to the National park that has taken part of your soul.
